Firefox install
Cryptix Wallet is not listed on Firefox Add-ons (AMO) at this time. Mozilla’s review process has not approved our listing; we disagree with that decision and continue to appeal. You can still install the official build from this website only using the steps below.
Prefer the easiest install?
Use Chrome Web Store
(also works in Edge and Brave). One click, auto-updates, no manual steps.
Download official build
Cryptix Wallet for Firefox
Download only from cryptixwallet.com. Do not install wallet extensions from random sites or file hosts.
Install (temporary — recommended method)
Firefox requires extensions to be signed by Mozilla for permanent install. Our self-hosted build uses Temporary Add-on mode — it works fully, but you must reload it after restarting Firefox.
- Download the
.xpifile above (save it, do not install from random mirrors). - Open Firefox and go to
about:debugging(paste in the address bar). - Click This Firefox in the left sidebar.
- Click Load Temporary Add-on…
- Select the downloaded
cryptix-browser-wallet-v0.1.1.xpifile. - Pin Cryptix Wallet from the extensions menu. Create or import a wallet and back up your recovery phrase offline.
- Visit cryptix.fun and connect your wallet.
After Firefox restarts, repeat steps 2–5 to load the add-on again. Your wallet data stays in Firefox local storage — you only reload the extension binary.
Alternative: load unpacked (developers)
If you build from source:
cd extension npm ci npm run build:prod -- --firefox # In about:debugging → Load Temporary Add-on… → select dist/manifest.json
What this extension is (and is not)
- Independent non-custodial wallet for the Cryptix blockchain — not MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase.
- Uses
window.cryptixonly — does not injectwindow.ethereum. - Recovery phrase encrypted locally; never sent to our servers.
- See full disclaimer and privacy policy.
